Early feminists had legitimate grievance. Some modern feminists are just a Y-chromosome away from criminal misogyny. Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz interests me greatly; she crosses into my mythology and my feminist angles. Her Loa to Divine Narcissus mention of the Aztec, “God of Seeds,” fits into the fertility rites storyline. When I saw Narcissus in the title I knew she matched my train of thought. She may have hated men of her era and area, but I hope she would accept my praise. I think Emily Dickinson may have some completion for my heart. I am very hot for her, right now. She’s fire.
