HopewithGroupMeetsPattonWW2 by George S Patton - I Love My men

Bob Hope claimed the biggest laugh he ever heard came from a duet. Frances Langford sang, “I’m in the mood for love,” and a soldier in the audience called out, “”You’ve come to the right place, honey!”  I suspect she took no offence and just laughed. She married her third husband at the age of 81. Guys are guys, but military men often went long stints without even seeing a woman.

The picture comes from Wikipedia. Clockwise from the left: Hal Block, Bob Hope, Barney Dean, George Patton, Langford and Tony Romano

It finally hit me where to put a Frances Langford allusion. More rewrite.
