Disney’s Ghost Host gives you the tour of the Haunted Mansion. Of course, Charles Dickens has three ghosts of Christmas (Past, Present, and Future.) Dickens borrowed from Dante Alighieri, who gave us the first notable tour guide.

Disney originally planned to use a butler named, Beauregard. Piers Anthony has a demon, named Beauregard; who works as a tour guide in hell. Piers Anthony’s Xanth is based on Florida, so we almost has two supernatural tour guides working in our state with the name Beauregard.

I allude to things in my novel and I use a tour guide, too. I’m still undecided on the how and where but these allusions will appear.
