Melville made a word cloud classic when he wrote Moby Dick. You probably need an obsessed character to duplicate his word count, but any novel should be recognizable by its word cloud. Harry in the Harry Potter probably shares a frequency similar Melville’s ‘whale’ because JK Rowling rarely uses a pronoun – the character names are constantly repeated.
My novel comes up short, in this area. A cheat may make ‘dwarf’ a top two word if trim a couple other words counts. The image above comes from a screen capture, but the cloud shaped like whale must have manipulated word count because ‘whale’ obviously has the highest word count. Tolkien formed an impressive cloud, too.
